Meet

LaurenRose

LaurenRose was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A. in 1960. Growing up in a family which loved literature, music, art, Créole cuisine, and organic gardening, she was encouraged from an early age to develop her creative imagination.

Drawing, singing, reading, and writing, along with dressing up in costumes, were all favorite pastimes. Imaginative costumes for the family were especially sewn for Halloween and the New Orleans Carnival Season by her mother.

Always singing, LaurenRose learned to play guitar from one of the religious sisters in elementary school. Whether in church, at school, with Girl Scouts, or the various choruses over the years, singing and music fed her artistic soul. She wrote her first songs in 1973.

From 1978 to 1983, LaurenRose studied Fine Arts with a concentration in Art History at The University of New Orleans (UNO). She worked in the French Quarter before and after her graduation. A foreshadowing? While living on Frenchmen Street she met a Frenchman, in 1984. In 1986 they married and she moved to France. She continued her studies in Art History at La Sorbonne in 1987, and worked part-time for a language school in Paris. After failing her final exams for the Art History License program, she earnestly questioned herself, and her Life Path. She left the job in 1989 and gave birth to her son.

Then it was time for lullabies! 🎶🎶

Music came back into LaurenRose’ life full force. Reharmonizing with her soul, she sang to her baby son. She and her son had fun exploring Disney music for children and WEE SING cassette tapes…

However, with an extended postpartum depression came a psychological imbalance, and LaurenRose experienced a personal crisis in Spring of 1991. It was a mixed episode of psychosis and spiritual awakening.

There was a period of mental instability followed by the discovery of her spiritual gifts of clairaudience, clairsentience, and clairvoyance... Gradually she was able to distinguish the negative energies and strident voices of mental anguish that differed significantly from the benevolent voices of Spirit Guides with their gentle, helpful energies...Grounding herself in daily life activities, the role of motherhood, along with psychotherapy and medication, she regained her mental balance. In its wake, a creative period of dream journaling and lyric-writing ensued, but having no formal musical education these attempts were inconsistent and unfulfilling.

Then in 1995..

she began working with Amy Lavietes, an American voice teacher in Paris. For 11 years she participated in Amy's Association, VOICES, while studying vocal techniques. After several years of private concerts and musical presentations with VOICES, LaurenRose did a series of private solo concerts herself. Meanwhile in 1997 she moved with her husband and son into Paris from the suburbs. Here in this new home with a small garden she was able to tend to her passion for gardening, growing roses, and connecting with Mother Earth. Today,

LaurenRose continues to sing, and learn music…as she gets a bit of help from her musician friends! She is one author among many in the 2023 publication, TURNING POINT, Volume 2, with FLOWER OF LIFE PRESS. As an Intuitive, she can creatively express herself as a poetess, a singer-songwriter, a gardener, but also as an oracle card and Tarot card reader. She is a Priestess of SACRED SOUND, having studied with and been initiated by Elsa Field and The Myrtle Grove Mystery School. She is also Certified as an Angel Guide by Kyle Gray and Hay House.

She likes to bake, and to cook La Cuisine Créole of her maternal line.

She is currently working on original songs to be recorded as an EP in Spring of 2025. ✨✨✨
